Currently it is not a requirement to be vaccinated to enter the Dominican Republic.
Airports will perform a rapid and random breath test on a percentage of passengers and all those who present symptoms upon arrival. Passengers under five years of age and crew members are exempt from this procedure. Passengers who present a vaccination card or negative PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival in the Dominican Republic will be exempted from the random test.
100% of the personnel in the tourism sector (hotels, airports, restaurants, transportation, etc.) have been vaccinated. Vaccination in the Dominican Republic is scheduled to be completed before the end of 2021.
The Dominican Republic is one of the countries with the highest vaccination rates in the Caribbean region.
Currently (July 6, 2021) the country has vaccinated 5,097,374 of its population with the first dose and 3,299,075 with the second dose for a total of 8,396,449 doses applied.
